Become a Babysitter this Summer!

“Babysitters Course in a Day” is an interactive and fun course for youth aged 11 to 15 years old. In this one-day course, participants will learn basic baby and child care skills required for babysitting or when caring for themselves alone. Courses are scheduled for July 9, 15, 24, 28 and August 6, 9 between 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. All courses will be presented at St. Andrew’s United Church (1044 St. George’s Avenue, North Vancouver). The cost of the course is $50, including the Canadian Red Cross Babysitter’s Manual & Babysitter’s Certificate card). Summer Blast is a mid week program running through out the summer where children come and learn about Jesus while going on adventures to various destinations. Every Tuesday is for children entering grades 1-3, while every Thursday is for kids entering grades 4-6 from 9am-4pm. Summer Blast is a nurturing environment for children to grow and learn while enjoying cool summer activities.

This year's retreat is at the Summit Park in Abbotsford. It is a fun, informative, Holy Spirit filled weekend of learning, growing and seeking the Lord together. There are Bible study, teaching and prayer times, a healing service, and even a talent show where everyone is welcome to share their talents and entertain the group.

Families are most welcome; there is an excellent children's program as well as supervised acitivites for the youth.
